Maria-Magdalena Militaru was appointed deputy prosecutor general of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice on March 11th, 2020.
She has a wealth of professional experience, prior to her appointment to managing and executing positions in several prosecution structures, as well as within the Superior Council of Magistracy.
As deputy prosecutor general of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, Maria-Magdalena Militaru had as main responsibilities the coordination of the criminal prosecution activity and special procedures. During the time she worked as a prosecutor within the Criminal Prosecution and Forensics Section of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, she carried out criminal prosecution in complex cases dealing with crimes of serious violence.
She served as chief Service Human Resources for prosecutor's offices within the Superior Council of Magistracy, in which she coordinated the human resources activity for prosecutor's offices and participated in the elaboration of the regulations regarding the promotion in execution positions and the appointment in the management positions of judges and prosecutors during the beginning activity of the Superior Council of Magistracy in its new structure, as provided by Law no. 317/2004.
She was appointed to the position of prosecutor, by contest, at the Prosecutor's Office attached to Olteniţa Court in 2000.
She has a degree in legal sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Craiova.
